Our public health department promotes healthy behaviors in our community and coordinates WIC, family health, school nursing, child/teen check-ups, foot and blood pressure clinics and influenza vaccination clinics.

Freedom From Smoking Class to start in August

FREEDOM FROM SMOKING GROUP PROGRAM is the American Lung Association of Minnesota’s adult smoking cessation program.  It is based on behavior modification, group support and education.  The program assists participants to understand and cope with psychological, behavioral and physical addiction.

Groups are led by trained American Lung Association Freedom From Smoking facilitators.
The program is designed for eight sessions during seven weeks with groups meeting twice during quit week.
Addresses the life management skills of nutrition, exercise, assertive communication and stress management.
